It appears that there are some viruses which I can't get rid of. The names vary but they're mostly .dll's. Avast! picks up a few as does Windows Defender and I went through my computer with HijackThis last night and removed some entries and yet some things still remain. Tips/thoughts for what I can do?

Spybot Search & Destroy! That has cleared trojans and other junk off my pc. Make sure the definitions are up to date and then do a scan. It should take off the nasties. www.spybot.com/en/download/index.html

Best Anti Virus cleaner is the Windows Install CD Which I don't have... Anyway, I ran a Spybot scan before I posted here and I still got bad things. I booted up in safe mode today and used HijackThis to get rid of some entries. I don't get any more virus warnings (yet) but I have a feeling that things are still a tad slow..

if you want to post your log file or send it to me chances are ive ran into the same virus's before and i can probably help you find where they are and why you keep getting them. Hijack will only find the active ones, but what i noticed with a few of the ones i kept getting once i got rid of them there was still a file that "redid" them as soon as i cleared them. Malwarebytes does the job for me most times

MS only licenses the operating system (not the media), so reinstalling your own copy is perfectly legitt

This is what 4chan does to your computer. If all seems lost, just reinstall windows. That is the most absolute and universal fix for all things windows.
