First of all, I am *not* referring to attackers skipping ahead to the 2 garage door objectives (as discussed in the Ralph thread). Anyways, I have been seeing this by certain people... What should normally happen is the ion tank driver rides the elevator down, which takes several seconds. The idea here is that the ion tank driver drives the tank off the edge so that it freefalls to the bottom, then drives into the "solid" elevator platform to trigger the objective, saving time and basically eliminating any possibility of being killed by defenders on the elevator ride (rare but possible, esp if the tank is already damaged). This also saves time because the tank can escort the attackers to the objective at the far end of the room and not have to worry about driving back around. Otherwise, the tank would have to either stay at the entrance and provide cover fire, or complete a lap of the room (either option using time). I personally feel that this is a Glitch since it removes the possibility to defend that objective. It also involves the tank driver driving INTO a solid elevator platform to trigger the objective. Another issue was brought up in discussion about this specific incident. The offender stated that the map should be modded to eliminate objectives past the ramp climb. This was the case in a version of the map that Omni used to run called Chaos-Unextended. I personally enjoy the extra objectives; they don't take very long and add some chance for the defence to make a stand. I do realize that some prefer the Unextended version, however, I don't think people should be abusing this Glitch/No Glitch in order to try to get the map changed or removed from the server. Just my 2 cents. I would like to see an official ruling, since every time I have seen it happen, it resulted in at least a few people discussing it in-game instead of playing out the map. I say Glitch, but I will respect whatever the official ruling becomes. ST

I agree that's a glitch but I don't see why we have to put up unextended in its place

Oi, there's an easy way to fix it, but I can't remember all the details It involves a collision box for the mover and changing a few settings
Same kind of fix as the last door on GrandCanyon

the door where you have to activate the switch to the ion tank is glitchable too. You can simply drive your scorp through it and go to where ever you like example : wait for ion etc
Just noticed that one tonight when i was knocked through it and was able to drive through it a few times (note i wasnt doing it on purpose i wanted to see if its able to be driven through or if you need to manually drive through it)

As long as it's being replaced: that's the root of all suckage, it used to be very common to have people rush the door with the hellbender and nab the last objective- nobody else can even tell you're over there unless they know you went through the door and notice that you didn't suicide- AND you can't be followed by the defense since they don't have any vehicles

Yeah, I'm with Kethoth. I think that after a few people get session banned for just jumping over the edge, they'll get the message.

For now I agree we need to warn the users espeically in this map about that it is against the rules (kind of like grandcanyon). Once someone gets a chance to fix the actual 2 glitches that I know of this map (driving through door to get to next obj or going down the next obj. with the elevator) then it will be 100% fixed until someone else finds a glitch, lol.
I am NOT a mapper but one of the ways I have seen at least the elevator problem is to put some sentinals that could not hit the elevator, but if someone walked a step out side the elevator area they would turn on. Once the obj. is actually finished (bringing ION tank to bottom) the the sentinals would go away. Just an idea and trust me when I say this, I am no map maker and just last week I learned how to spell the word MAP.

i haven't played the map yet so i'm not sure what the issue w/ the elevator is exactly...does it not start at the top where you have to go down or can you drive through/off of it?

i haven't played the map yet so i'm not sure what the issue w/ the elevator is exactly...does it not start at the top where you have to go down or can you drive through/off of it? Well, there are 2 issues at this point in the map... There is a sit objective at the top which activates the elevator. Then, the attackers are supposed to drive the tank onto the elevator, which starts the elevator going down to the lower level. When the tank hits the lower level (touching the obj you can see in my screenshot), 3 more objectives are revealed. The most popular glitch is that an attacker can drop down beside the inactive elevator before the sit objective is completed. This lets them get in position so that when the tank *does* reach the bottom level, they are standing right beside one of the objectives that is revealed. (these objectives are a long distance from the elevator) The other glitch (the one I was originally posting about) involves driving the tank off the side after the sit objective is complete instead of riding down the elevator. Normally, you would think this is bad for the attackers, since the elevator doesn't move without the tank on top, and the objective is inside of the elevator when it is in the "up" position. However, you can apparently drive the tank into the "solid" elevator and trigger the objective. This is more or less non-defendable and very time saving for the attackers. I would agree with most that some kind of fix should be created as opposed to just ending the map early. ST

ST The other glitch I was talking about was were you normally take the ion tank up the objective were the defenders have the ion tank. Well if you take any vehicle and get in it, and go to the end (were the ion tank is suppose to go) there is a wall that you can drive through. I have seen this done and the person is camping the next objective (before the ion tank needs to go down the elevator). So am I correct on saying there is 3 possible glitches that someone needs to fix?

there is atleast 3 yes
theres another map too which is glitchy but i cant remember which one. Its the one where you have to destroy the barricade with the raptors. You can actually drive through it and wait for the next ob soon as it happens bang your in a vehicle. Alright from what i know the vehicles arent there until the barricade is destroyed but still gives the attackers a few seconds head start on the next ob
