Well I just picked up another Logitech laser mouse, this time (unfortunately) the corded G5 Laser, but it made up for it's leash by having 2 thumb buttons instead of the one on my wireless.
But anywho, What kind of mouse do you think is the best? Also, do you like corded or wireless mice?
Personally, I'm kinda torn between wireless and corded mice. Wireless mice's batteries tend to degrade and have to be changed often in the middle of a game, but offer more flexibility while Corded mice are virtually maintenance free, but you can't go anywhere with them.
My personal favorites are the Logitech G7 wireless gaming mouse, and the G5 corded.

IBM Trackpoint (for those not in the know, that's the little red nub in the middle of the keyboard that you push in the direction you want the pointer to go). No, really. That's what I play UT with.

well i like cordless, becuase i do more than just game (if you're a pure gamer, CORDED!). www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard_mice_combos/devices/162&cl=us,en This is what i use, i have never gotten any lag with it compared to the previous wireless mice i've used. It's bluetooth which is something i love greatly. have pretty much set everything i own up to bluetoooth. The mouse is rechargable witha charge that will last about 3 days if you use it non-stop and about a week for the casual computer user. the keyboard is nice with the touch sensitive volume control, just stick your pinky over and move it up or down. the keyboard will beep me when i receive msgs on irc, aim, msn, etc.. and displays the msg on the keyboard (not for irc). Overall i love it, did have to pop the windows/start key out for obvious reasons, and easy cleaning. mouse has 10 buttons and center scroll up and down, which i do use all of them. There ya go, i'm a wireless guy becuase i like to sit in my chair with legs propped up with keyboard in lap and mouse to my right giving me tons of room to move around.

well it's awesome for like C&C so he can track every vehicle without lifting his hand, like us, we can't turn all the way around and track someone, we have to lift our mouse over and over again

What are you guys doing with your mice that warrants wireless? My mouse never leaves the mouse pad. I hate wireless. If it's not tethered to my computer, I'm going to lose it.

I actually agree with this. Plus if I go anywhere that has a computer, I ALWAYS bring my G5. Paranoid? Yes, but using junk generic mice kill me on the inside..

Paranoid? Yes, but using junk generic mice kill me on the inside.. LOL. I hear they have a version of AA for people like you. Don't worry, they'll help you get through it I saw the G9 at Bestbuy, but I didn't get it, partly because of the OMGWTF price and partly because I didn't like the free spinning mouse wheel. I like the little bumpy ones if you know what I mean EDIT: admittedly I have to spin my mouse wheel 3 times to get to the bottom of this page, but I can deal with it

Just incase you missed it at BestBuy. And with Logitech's SetPoint software, you can mess around with the laser and scrolling sensitivity (just a little more than my $10 optical would do ). And get it on eBay, costs like 2 times less than retail.

I broke my mouse, didn't have time to wait. Games to play man! G9 still seems expensive for (IMO) basically the same thing as the G5/7
