There exists 2 questions for the next fun war: 1) is there interest 2) when would it be
Answering for [OMNI] :: ------------------------------ Our community is currently hosting what is dubbed OMNI King of the Mountain, a month-long weekender pitting teams of 5-7 against each other in multiple gametypes (DM,ONS,AS, and possibly others). Details for the event and signups can be found in the )o( forums (for which I believe you need to sign-in to see the threads involved).
I checked with the Organizers and you are free to join the event, but teams will be chosen via a global draft- so your team would be a mix of everything under the sun (i.e. you can't enter as a pre-set team)(but you may be able to have a captain for the draft... I really dont know that part, I'm not the organizer). Also (last bit), there it is a commitment to 1-1.5 hours on 4-6 weekend days in October, so commiting to it is an actual commitment.
That being the case, members of our community wanting team/teamwork-oriented events are going to be busy on weekends for the next 2 months and organizing a fun war for this period would be fruitless as our community would have a 'sparse' turnout. SO, we will try again in November/December and hopefully (with the blessings of both server owners & communities) will have a whole new ballgame at that time with UT3 warfare, more players, and a renewed interest in fun wars.
Hopefully between the weekly funwar idea and the King of the Mountain, everyone will be thoroughly entertained and forget all about fun wars till they (hopefully) start back up in a few months.

I'd love tyo be involved but it means too much time dedicated to gaming, meaninf by the end of it I'd probably be single...lol, so unfortunately I can't get involved otherwise I'd be all over that. Have fun guys, it sounds like a blast.

forum.omnipotents.com -- it's in the 'sponsored competitions' section (which you need to have a forum account to access i believe)

Frankly, I thought a bunch of these guys would want to be in. Seemingly well thought out concept, organized - I like it.
Don't hesitate to try and drum up support PI. Many of us are up to our ears in Team Fortress 2, Quake Wars and Crysis and cannot help you out as much as we would like too.

I tried... For those of you thinking about joining in the omni king of the mountain event- registration is closed. Sorry, I'm not the one organizing it, but it's possible they'll let you in late-last minute. PM me if you still want in and we'll see what we can do (it's gonna be fun, people of every skill level and gametype...).
