I don't have time to go over every thing you debate me on, but from what i did read, you say you shouldn't have to go under your profile to disable sigs? Well one could say as well they shouldn't have to make it smaller, both sides have an argument. And Rugal, if you had read more carefully, what i said was a comparison, I meant that i could make the same kind of complaint using typing as a complaint. I did not say or imply i have perfect typing. I don't want to stir anything, but i do feel that making this thread is honestly futile. I'm not flaming anyone, nor insulting, by grow up i mean realize your complaint has no merit. For every person disliking sig sizes there's another who doesn't mind or does like them. Why should we conform to your views? Tis America mind you. Seacrest OUT. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT: You want resizing, and i want you to just block the image or edit your profile, we're both right on some aspects but over all this isn't an arguement. It's common sense, People aren't going to change sigs unless harrassed, called out, (Phil) Or forced by higher authority. Of course they might if you ask them in a PM, but don't automatically think that will make them, Resized sigs generally look like crap. And Alexx was right, her sig was normal compared to a lot on here. I'd be happy to discuss this more but I can easily see it turning ugly, I'll be forced to back out if it does. Axon_Flux-=DN=-

I "could" go on a mega rant on how everything I said is justifiable, but I won't for the sake of everyone here. Also when you say "This is America", do keep in mind America is not a pure Democracy, but rather a Democratic Republic. I also never said at any point in my post that you "had" to conform to my views. While I honestly don't care about what your views are, telling everyone to "Grow Up" can easily be taken out of context and can mean "Grow some **** balls and deal with it".

There are worse things than a big sig. Like In-laws.
I just hate that he wants others to change when he can easily solve it.
It's like he's saying "Solve my problem."
Dude do it yourself.
Sorry for offending you or something Rugal.

I actually think this is a healthy debate, no one is directly flaming someone else so i think this is good. My point is... I like sigs, i dont want to block them all.... I just dont like when someone has a HUGE one with a odd color that actualy is displeasing to the eyes.
The sig that alexx has now (not flaming but just a comparison) isnt the one i was talking about. I was talking about the one that was bright green with a puppy on it.. I mean there were a few centimeters at the top and bottom that were not needed so could be trimmed down. Now that you are comparing to me i realize that my overall sig space is large so i am modifying that also...
This is a perfectly healthy debate but seriously....
#1 i like sigs so i dont want to get rid of them. #2 i dont think its fair for 10 people to have to modify their settings to not view one persons BIG sig.... #3 here is a comparison.... its like saying.... If i play my music really loud at my house that all my neighbors can hear it.. A few neightbors dont mind it but there is 1 neighbor that is bothered from it. Legally im not allowed to play music that lowed if it is bothering others, its a public disturbance and i would be fined.
and Yes i live in america, we have freedoms, but our freedoms end where others are infringed.
I think the music comparison is a great example. In the USA i would be fined and eventually forced to stop playing my music that loud.
Just a comparison to add to the "debate" hehehe thanx!~

Except that is a misdemeanor crime, and these are sigs... And another thing. They don't HAVE to change their settings, you forget that. Just like noone has to trim their sig. Like I've said, There is valid debate from either side, but.....I think my side is a tad better. Why change what you can so easily prevent from seeing? Why should we go back through our CS2's to make you happy? Why can't you take care of it? You might as well say "Your skin is too pale, It hurts my delicate eyes!" I don't see this coming to a conclusion anytime soon, so it should be a fun debate! Axon_Flux-=DN=-

Lol, the thing is that i CLEARLY see that my side is WAY better....
If 1 persons sig is too big, and 5 people think that, then those 5 people either have to deal with it (not to good), or take the time to block it (still just a pain).
I think that 1 person should resize their sig rather than 5 have to change things....
Clearly this is way better...

Is making under 5-7 clicks harder than opening PS CS2 and editing it, then going online to re-upload?
No it is not.
Your asking a hell of a lot for just a few clicks.
If you've got FF then then clicks are lessened!
"Take the time"
Meh.

sorry i have to agree with axon on this one , alex your sig is perfect hun dont change it for anyone.
the idea of a forum is for people to express themselves and ideas not too change the way they express therselves i.e in sigs just because others dont like it you all need to get a grip if you dont like the sigs then use the sig blocker i for one will not change mine for anyone it express me and im proud of it.

GrimReaper i was talking about a diff sig that alex had which was almost 2.5 times larger than the one she has now. But axon do the math. Use Quizz's link to resize and it is less clicks to shrink it... plus if five people dont like that its that bit thats.... 5x5 so lol 25 clicks when for only a few clicks they can resize it themselves..... its just a little rediculous. what would you do if i changed my sig to something like this though? You think that is acceptable, i would guarantee you that most people on this forum or any forum would not like that and would get frusterated that someone would use an image that big..... ~Phil

What would i do?
*Right clicks.*
*Blocks image.*
Done.
Simple as that.
No editing, no complaints. --------------------------------------- Your asking me to do the same thing I'm asking you.
Click this link. Click your profile.
Edit it in CS2. Download Firefox.
You can't win this I'm serious. And I'm sure you won't let me win either.
Enjoying myself though.

Im having fun with this also... but axon the point is... that someone has to take the time to make the sig, and let alone put it on the forum. Obviously someone is not making a sig and they dont know what size it is..... so why make a sig that big anyway if some people will get annoyed by it?
That is stupid... You shouldnt even have to right click to block the image if the person knew that they were putting a big sig in after this post.
Seriously, if i took the time to make a sig that i liked which was big and bright, then i think if people complain i should take the time to make 20 clicks to resize it. rather than have 10 other people complain or need to block it....
And lol, i am having fun but from my point there is no way YOU can win but you wont let up... hehehe i love debating!

my sig wasnt "big to annoy people". It expressed what i like. Im sorry that the color contrast hurts your eyes that much. you should see some more daylight then cause it doesn't give anyone else, in the 4 different forumns that i'm in, a hard time. I think i made the point clear that i did not like my name being brought up in this bulletin. I had the sig for 3 weeks. In that time duration, you could of said somthing to avoid this, but putting up with it and then complaining in the end isn't a way to solve things. private messages are not hard after all. And who said i made the sig to annoy people? So it was bright. Maybe that's how i like it? You already said the size for yours was to big. but now your complaing about the color. This is a post about signature sizes. I even made a whole seperate post in the graphics section when i first made it. If it was too big, someone could of said somthing there. My sig wasn't NEARLY as big as the one you posted. the amount of space a signature takes up may be caused by how people view their web browser. Some people view it in EXTRA BIG font, and others view it in tiny font. If your viewing it in EXTRA BIG font, then paragraphs will be lenghtened, making the post look bigger than it actually is. So when you say it takes up a certain amount of the screen, I doubt my post are really THAT big. This also counts for monitor size! there are differences in how people view thier screens.

Im not saying that people intentionally make them big to be annoying, but they have to make it. If the person makes it and it ends up too big then they can modify it easily. I only brought your sig up in here because this post started to get active so i thought we could start a nice debate.
Im not intentionally picking on you, just using it as an example and i guess if you took it in a harsh way i appologize.
people shouldnt have to block large sigs, the people wearing the sigs should realize that they are too big in general and just an annoyance. On many professional forums they have size restrictions on sig sizes. The same with the avatar. there is a size restriction on that for a reason.
The logical people thought... hmm people are going to averagly have large avatars and it will be an annoyance. Instead of thousands of people having to block that image..... the maker shouldnt be able to post it in the first place...
Seriously, its not my lazyness of why i dont like large sigs, but its the ignorance of the person wearing it, not knowing that others need to block the image. Thats just how i feel.

apology accepted, but the person wearing it would know if you sent them a PM. In the future I rather you not bring up my name to start a debate. if i did not hear anything in the 3 weeks i started to wear the sig, then I am going to naturally assume it doesn't offend anyone. I did not make it and think it was big. When i did the comparisons, I figured my Sig can't possibly annoy people if it is the same height as others (like yours). The color issue is the person, not a crowd, so I'm not going to do things to please people. If i like bright green, I'll place bright green. You could of easily blocked it and my signature wouldn't have bothered you so much. You say it really wasn't that much of a problem, yet i feel the more this debate progresses, the more your telling everyone how big and bright my Sig is. I thought we clarified the size issue when you admitted that your signature space was about the same height as mine.
