I was banned for continuing to talking about a subject after I had been told to take it to the forums. The subject was whether jumping down to the last obj in Chaos was illegal or not.
I was told that it would be lifted on 9/14/08 by Filak613.
I'm a fair player who would like to play on Nachos again (partially cause the other assault servers suck in comparison).

Just wondering, anybody else used flash before? Would be nice to know another user I've been making a little Zelda styled game, with people from this board as the in-game characters . Nobody's names are in there so far so you wont find any. I have planned for most of you to be in it though . I hope you all like it. Yea, I was right; I have seen that one before. My only beef with that map is that a good team can totally shut down the attackers at their initial spawn because of the tiny doorway. May be a problem with as many people are usually on the server.
Here is a newer/different (?) version. This is the one that I believe they ran on omni.

To the best of my knowledge JPL is not voting anyone out at this time. It would show up in the poll section. There seems to be some doubt concerning the ban. I might suggest that with Roor's post we all know that the health hax and other glitches known to many are off limits on any server JPL members connect to.

Thank you for appealing. I could not locate a report for your ban, so the details are shaky at best. I do not know which admin banned you or why.
Your ban has been lifted.
However, you need to understand that griefing is griefing. Command vehicle suicide, under any circumstances (even a round doomed to fail) is griefing and is against our rules. It's also just poor sportsmanship.
We have revised our MOTD recently to be more descriptive of our rules, so please take note of it as you participate on our server.

I just tend to use what I have, although I prefer wide area-of-affect weapons like the Rocket Launcher, Flak Cannon, or Shock Rifle(Combo).
The Bio Rifle will do in a pinch, and it's great for keeping attackers off of objectives. Also, my aim sucks, so single shot weapons aren't a good choice.
If I'm on the offensive, send a wall of fire ahead of me, then switch to shield gun if I'm not dead.
If it's defense, Shock Rifles, Bio Rifles, Flak Cannons, or anything with a knock-back effect. I'll hover around the objective and hopefully mop up any particularly resourceful attackers that have made it past my teammates.
Of course, if they're better than my teammates, I probably don't have much chance of stopping them.

Why you believe you got banned- "Griefing", I suppose, which is about half-right. The map was money, my team had no barracks, no VF, no spawn points, with about 10 nuke heavies bearing down on us. They broke into the base, and I began to run away from them in the comm vehicle. However, instead of playing ring around the rosie with them, I just decided to drive into the water and end it there. From my point of view, I don't think I really did anything too horrible, but I can see how others would think of it as griefing from their own perspectives. I accepted my ban wholeheartedly. I assumed it would be for a few hours or a few days, but now its about a month later and I still can't join the server.
Who Banned You- I'm not sure. It happened too fast for me to remember, and I didn't really take note, since I just assumed it would be a short ban.

Random note- I think the admin that banned me must have been really pissed that night, because there was absolutely no verbal warning and no prior dialogue to suggest that I was to be utterly permabanned. There was no mention that I could appeal my ban here and I found this forum by stumbling blindly across the internet. I respect what you admins have to do, and I know even you guys have your off nights, but I don't believe that was quite in keeping with your standards here. I assume this was an isolated incident, though, as I've never had anything but a good time on your server.
Once a half-way competent defender gets the tank in hellbenderrace it's all over without the redeemer jump, because worthless players will waste the said redeemer on things other than the tank. Pretty much it amounts to defenders getting to the objective first and camping the crap outta the objective, making it almost impossible to get the objective.

I usually try to kill because I like to enjoy a map and I am not a fan of the matches that end in 4 minutes. The only time I will really try to blast through all of the objectives is when the teams are severely jacked up which in that case I want the game to end as soon as possible.

The server was not full and I'd been !kickafk'ing the whole night. I think this individual and others were accusing us of joining spectator so that we could stack - which is ridiculous, because Keef auto assigns every single round, and I either auto assign or manually join a team to balance teams using myself, or if I'm the first one in the server (often the case, since I have like a consistent ping of 6 and live close by), I join whichever team I want.

I agree with everyone here! Even the phantom virus will use a shield gun to hold an objective. Heck people like sho and grand practically survive on the shield gun in Dust and Office since they aren't so good at balistic weapons. If they call you a noob, its because their jealous that they can't kill you. Heck my catchprase would be useless if I didn't use a shield gun cause then everyone would stop me! Remember, everything in the game can be used, unless its glitching or aim botting.
